Abstract
Nowadays tourism industry is one of the most prolific economic activities all over the world.As an affecting activity on all parts of development ,this industry should be more noticed now rather than in the past, khorramabad city is considered as one of the most important tourist base in the country (Iran), and due to deficiencies in the field of tourism in the city, the objective of the present study is offering the best strategy to deal with the threats and weaknesses and taking advantages of the strengths and opportunities by using SWOT and QSPM methods while identifying strengths and weaknesses and threats and opportunities. The research method is Cross-sectional in which required data and information by library and field (questionnaire) survey have been collected. Selected sample includes 32 individuals of experts and managers of the city tourism who are selected using simple random sampling. The results show that Khorramabad tourism is on the offensive. It should be taking advantage of opportunities ahead as regards capabilities. Prioritization that has been developed using a matrix planner, preparing a comprehensive program of regular, long-term in the field of Khorramabad tourism, recreational facilities and places of accommodation organized for tourists near the city’s cultural and tourist places and routes and city and trans-regional marketing and advertising to introduce and better identifying Khorramabad city according to the report by the UN OFFICE as the best city of tourism in Iran are determined as the most effective strategies.
