Due to geomorphologic limitations, Tabriz Metropolitan has turned on sector development and building subsidiary town at suburban. Most constructed towns, especially Eram town, are adjacent with active failures of North of Tabriz and natural disasters including earthquake, flood, mass movements,… which are basic components in geomorphologic natural hazards, are threatening such areas. Moreover such areas have mainly been built on non-resistant litho logy and inclined areas, composed of Miocene Formations (which are an alternation of lime and saltine marls, conglomerate and sandstone with lime between layers).the main objective of the present study is to determine the current state of residential settlement patterns and zoning study area based on geomorphologic indicators in vulnerable areas, in accordance with the standards for residential, Eram town of Tabriz city. The complexity and plenty of effective factors in determining site quality of residential establishment need for utilizing decision multivariate methods in order to determine qualitative suitability of residential uses. The multivariate evaluation methods based on analytical hierarchy process (AHP) has been used to provide and analyze the maps and different layers of utilizations. from total area 554.36 Ha of town about 60.15 Ha in the regions with so low standard, 164.47 Ha in the regions with low standard, 196.45 Ha in the regions with moderate standard, 115.09 ha in the regions with high standard and 18.2 Ha in the regions with more high standard have been set.
