Abstract

TodayDiscuss of Sustainable development is as one of the most important issues in humansociety, So that most countries try to be a leader in this field. For this purpose,Most of these countries to achieve these important to make changes in world dimension.Given the importance and necessity of sustainable developmentCountriesand also necessity of more attention tothis issue in our country, would be adequate attention to the factors that are associated with this development.This research has been prepared with the aim of assessing the status of the 16 countries in the Middle EastIn terms of sustainable development statusby using 32 indicators of sustainable developmentwith an emphasis on Country Iran.Type of researchis functionaland methods It also analysis - comparison.For analysis of Information is used VIKOR method that is one of the methods Multi Criteria Decision Making.According to the results, In the years 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012, according to under study indicators, which are located on the first and third positions, respectively, in Tunis, Kuwait , Egypt; Kuwait, Tunisia, Turkey; Egypt, Turkey, Iran and Turkey, Kuwait and Tunisia.Also according to the results,Country Iran is locatedInYear 2006 at fourth place,InYear 2008With one Rank climb in fourth place,InYear 2010AlsoWith one Rank climbcompared toYear 2008 infourth place,And finally inYear 2012With one Rank decline again in fourth place among 16 countries studied. Also according to the International Data, Country Iran is not good conditionin terms of indicators;Amount of greenhouse gases ,Employment rateAnd renewable energy at the international level, Which main reasonIsIncreasing population and oil economyof this country's.
