Improve of urban parks quality to enhance the social ‎interaction of citizens (Case study: Gorgan city parks)‎

Abstract

In recent years the growth in urbanization and mechanical life, people are faced with isolation and ‎loss of social interaction; And parks are considered as one of the important urban spaces that the ‎mechanical environment and bleak outside from this state and increace social interaction between ‎people. Public health and social interactions in cities For this reason it is necessary for urban parks ‎designed to respond to the needs of social interactions among individuals. In order to promote ‎social interaction This study to investigate the relationship between quality of social interactions of ‎citizens in urban parks. First, identify the components of environmental quality and social ‎interactions and then measures their relationship. The research method is descriptive-analytic, ‎survey method used to collect the required data. Data through questionnaires that are completely ‎randomized 359 patients to three parks Melat,Shahr and Chale bagh in the city of Gorgan is ‎obtained, And by using descriptive statistics and Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis, and ‎regression analysis was performed. Finally, it was determined that The quality of urban parks affect ‎‎ on social interactions. And components of quality of legibility, permeability, variety, flexibility, ‎vitality and visual proportions are significantly associated with social interactions, And variety ‎component at a higher level than the other components and then legibility ,vitality and permeability ‎‎. Finally, with regard to four variety component, readability, vitality and permeability which are ‎more effective social interactions, To give suggestions in order to increase social interaction among ‎citizens in urban park concept was presented
